Allies for Health and Well-Being

Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)

Pittsburgh’s GLSEN is located downtown on Grant Street. This organization focuses on educating students about the issues surrounding the LGBT community. It also works to ensure a safe learning environment for all students in schools regardless of their sexual orientation. The Pittsburgh organization is a chapter of the national GLSEN organization. Gay and Lesbian Neighborhood Development Association (GLENDA)

GLENDA is a Pittsburgh-based organization with the goal of providing volunteer services with a message of diversity and inclusion. The group, made up of LGBT and straight individuals, is located on Grant Street downtown.

Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation

The Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation launched in 2017 to improve the health of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in Western Pennsylvania.  They offer a variety of services and supports to our communities, as well as expert training for organizations to improve their capacity to serve LGBTQ+ clients and staff. PERSAD Center

“The PERSAD CENTER is a human service organization whose mission is to improve the well-being of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) communities, and the HIV/AIDS communities.” Learn more about the PERSAD Center.

PFLAG

Promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth by support groups, community education programs, and advocacy to end discrimination. Also offers support services to family and friends of gay and lesbian individuals. Learn more about PFLAG.

Pgh Equality Center

“Equality Pennsylvania is the statewide voice for LGBT equality in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and works collaboratively to establish a comprehensive network of individuals and organizations united in securing equal rights for the LGBT community.” Learn more about Pgh Equality Center.

Pittsburgh Black Pride

QBurgh

QBurgh is a source for LGBTQ news and community resources in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. Always by the LGBTQ Community and always for the LGBTQ Community. They strive to bring diverse voices to the table and celebrate the community that they love. Learn more about QBurgh.

SisTers PGH

SisTers PGH is a BLACK and TRANS led non-profit organization that serves QTBIPOC (Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color) trans, and nonbinary people within Southwestern PA. Learn more about SisTers PGH.

TransYOUniting

TransYOUniting is a mutual aid non-profit, providing resources to Pittsburgh's Trans Community. The organization is lead by Dena Stanley, a prominent social justice warrior amongst the Black Trans Community. TransYOUniting are Trans, Non-binary and Gender Expansive people working to better our community's lives here in Pittsburgh.
